Road Course/Autocross Setup
OK I need some help in setting up my suspension for the twisties. I already have the WS6 Sus. so I dont need sway bars, but what should i do to the bushings and ends on the sway bars? Also Should I go adjustable on the CA's and Panhard rod? What about shocks? Blistiens or Konis? do I need a torque arm? Help!!!
If its a full race suspension you desire, then look towards the lightest weight parts with rodend or sperical type metal bushings. A solid frame mounted torque arm will help greatly by reducing the flex caused by the trans-to-crossmember-to-frame stock rubber mount dance. A great handling car has very low unspung weight and rigidness so the suspension can travel up and down lightly without tossing the rest of the car. You will compromise comfort but will feel the car well under your seat.
Just be warned, Light weight racing parts will not hold up as well over the years for everyday street use. They are generally removed and inspected more rigorously on a racecar where as streetcars are usually ignored. Mild everyday street use is harder on parts in the long run than only occasional race use. Race tracks dont have speed bumps and potholes.

Add some good shocks (Konis or BIlsteins) and adjust the car to maximum negative camber. Drive it this way for a while, then decide what you want to do next.
Remember, one of the most important items for handling is also the most often overlooked - tires.

Just an upgrade on the a-arm bushing material and shocks will help to improve the handling response. The same for upgrading the bushing material on the sway bar bushing and end links. You can get all of this from the folks at Guldstrand. Give them a call and order their catalog.
You have, and need, the torque arm. Again, upgrade the bushing material there, too.
As far as getting adjustable LCA's and PanHard Rod, if the car is to be lowered, then yes, you need them.

Not knowing what car you have, I won't make generic references. I have extensively modified my IROC for road courses-and it works quite well. Check my pics for details.
