245's on 15 inch rim

245's on 15 inch rim
i was wondering if 245's would fit on my 15 inch RS rims.i need to get new rear tires,and i want to go bigger than the stock size.i was thinkin 245/55 or 245/60 for the size.my buddy has some 235's on his car(with the 15 inch rims),and they dont look too wide,so i think that 245's will fit fine.but i just wanted to check here to see if anyone else here has put 245's on their 15 inch rims.thanks!

The 245/60R15 looks fine on the 15x7 wheels. Some companies make 245/50R15 tires and they look fine too, but they overlap slightly. Look at some Dunlop tires, they make 225/50R15 tires that are just as wide as some 245/50R16 tires by other manufacturers. Remember that not every tire brand is the same width.
