Factory wheels on '88 IROC-Z Convertible

I recently purchased an '88 Red IROC-Z Convertible. I noticed the wheels actually say front and rear stamped in the metal. What is the difference and why the difference? Makes an interesting dilemma for tire rotation!

All third-gens with 16 inch wheels are that way.

Yeah it's kinda funky that way. You would have to remove the tires since radial tires aren't supposed to live life one way, then suddenly go the other way.

rotation is tough because of the rims plus most tires for the cars have a specific rotation. Mine also have spacers on the rear drums.
