Manual Steering Box?

I've heard that an S-10 Gear Box is a direct bolt in. My question is what year(s) s-10 will work in an '86 camaro? and also what pitman arm should I use- the s-10 or camaro?
Also for those of you who have done this- good/bad/etc. Any performance gains? This is not my daily driver and will have skinnies on the front.
Thanks
Matt

Any year should fit. Mine is from an 87. You should use the f-body pitman arm. It has a slightly different angle than the S10.

The performance gain is in weight saving. Removing the power steering box, hoses, fluid, pump and brackets and cooler if equiped, saves a lot of weight from the front of the car
