50/50 Braking and loose steering box info needed.

Is there any way to tighten up the steering box so the car dosent wander(all new front suspension components installed) and to take the slack out of the wheel(loose steering). This is an 89 Formula 350 w/WS6. Also, there was a guy who modded something in the silver block that the brake lines go into at the brake booster. He was able to make the front(that brakes most)and rear(that brake least)brakes work 50/50. Just wondering if anyone had info or any other info along the lines of 50/50 braking. Thanks, STEVE Z

It may not be the steering box. Have the ragjoint checked. Probably needs replacing too. That tightened mine up considerably.

Brake balance on our cars should be set at around a 70/30 ratio I believe.

Thanx,ANDYZ28

Check this thread: https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...highlight=bias for info on the brake bias thing - my pix no longer show up because I moved websites however. If you need them, let me know and I can post them again. I wouldn't say it's 50/50 though, more like 60/40'ish.

Check this thread: https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=118027 for info on the steering box stuff. Heed the warning about TOO TIGHT - you will burn up your box. And no one needs a burned box.

Ain't the search function a wonderful thing? (Just busting your nuts)
