Rear Drum Locks up, Please Help!!
Rear Drum Locks up, Please Help!!
I have a 1984 sport coupe (It came with the 2.8 V-6). My drivers side rear drum was locking up when ever I brake. I changed the wheel cylinder of both sides, cleaned the brake up and bleed them and I still have the wheel locking up. My pads and spring are in great condition. Can anyone help with some ideas with this problem?
Thanks

If the shoes are not still oily, they're probably just contaminated and should be changed.
I'd go with the axle seal leak also. Oil soaked shoes grab very quickly.

Try the brake adjusters. Sometimes if they are adjusted to much(lots of thread showing on adjuster) it will cause premature lock up. Just my .02
