Question about front end
Question about front end
Hello all. Got a quick question about the front end. I'm considering rebuilding the front end of my car. What I was wondering was are there replacement parts that are stronger and lighter then stock? How about ligher with the same durability. If I have to replace parts anyway I want to get the best parts I can because well it was going to be changed eventually and why throw away good parts.
Thanks

Tubular k member and tubular control arms...thats all that I can really think off. The K member shaves off like 60lbs yet is stronger and the control arms shave like 10 or so I think and are also stronger. Cant think of any other suspension parts that would lighten the front...
Check out Thunder Racing. They're a sponsor for this site. Link at the top with all the other ads. Their lower control arms are in the suspension category. Their tubular k-members are in the chassis category. Other handling improvements include replacing any rubber bushings with poly bushings for less deflection, shocks and struts, springs, and sway bar end links. If you go with lowering springs, you'll want to get LCA relocation brackets for the rear suspension. Spohn is a good source for rear suspension components. LCAs, panhard bars, torque arms...
