All GM boxes have the same mounting dimensions. Look for an S10 from the 80's with a 4cyl in it.

How hard is it to turn with a manual box when you are parking? Should be no problem to turn if you are moving.
I was thinking of going manual as well, mainly to unclutter the engine bay.

The bigger the steering wheel the better. I have a smaller aftermarket wheel in my car and skinny front tires. Add to that that I also have a transbrake button and coiled wire mounted in the steering wheel. My steering wheel has a quick disconnect just so I can get in and out of the car over the door bar.
A few weeks ago I didn't have a clear shot at the ramps to my trailer because of a car parked on the other side of the pit road. It wasn't fun pulling the steering wheel hand over hand to turn the wheels to get lined up to the ramps. Normally I have no problems driving around the pits with manual steering. It's just those sharp turns at very low speed that get difficult to turn. Most turns are just like any other steering box. You turn enough by just turning the steering wheel about 1/2 a turn.
