Roll bar\Cage pricing-good or bad?
I got the following quotes on a rollbar with the swing out and a cage or my Camaro. Do these look like good prices.
Roll bar with swingout 760CDN or 479US
Cage 1100CDN or 700US

Just for the kit, no shipping, no brokerage fees that sounds expensive. If you're not going to install it yourself you can add in $500-$1000 for someone to put it in.

They still have a sale on until Sept 30

He never said but giving an exchange rate I have to assume it's just for a kit.
Even if you add up the options from S&W for swing out door bars, it's still cheaper. Their shipping prices don't include Canada so figure higher shipping rates to get it across the border.
8 point roll bar $110 (sale price)
Swing out bar kit for both sides $70 (kit doesn't include the actual bars)
Special door bars to clear third gen inner door panels $80
Not sure if the mounting plates are included with the original bar kit. If not 8 x $3.25 = $26
That's about all you need. Total = $286.
Lets assume $100 for shipping
That's now $386. Still cheaper than the original quote for just a roll bar.
Current exchange rate puts that at around $600 Canadian. Add in about $100 for brokerage fees (depending on how it's shipped) $700 plus GST and PST comes to just over $800. Pretty close to the original quote for just the roll bar kit and that's now in your hands. Minimun $500 to install and the final price should be around $1300 canadian for an installed roll bar.
Check around with local chassis shops. They should be able to make a custom fit one and install it for less than $1000. Maybe closer to $800.

Sorry guys. I should have made it more clear. Those prices are for the complete install. This shop bends the pipes and does the total installation.
