Brake pad re-brake in after x,xxx miles
If your cars brakes never seem to grip and require you to keep pushing harder to stop then do the following;
Drive up to 60mph on a very flat and deserted road then stop as fast as you can trying to lockup the fronts (if they lock take your foot of the pedal duh). Then quickly go back up to 60mph and do the same thing again. This should take off any kind of slick material that might have built up on the pads. It's worked so well that I'm pushing off my brake upgrade for at least another year.
Well I hope this helps somebody else with their "crappy brake problem" because it sure helped my car.
BTW, the poll is just to see how many people have done this or believe in this process for cars that see lots of highway and super defensive drivers (brake for a longer distance instead of jamming on the brakes at the last second).
