I think your problem is that the brake pads are rattling against the rotors. I dont think i noticed any clips to hold them in place when i did mine, but you may want to look over everything to make sure all is tight. Try tightening the slide pins. If they're a little loose, they may cause the pads to rattle a bit. Other than that, its just a good idea to look everything over a few times. Hope this helps!

This is probably not your issue but might be of benefit to the archives. I found when I recently swaped in a 9 bolt disc rear that the caliper slide bolts vary between two styles. One looks like a typical bolt, and the other is necked down (has a smaller diameter at the end). But anyway the end bushings in the caliper vary to correspond. The bolts that originaly came with my rear I yanked out of the junkyard had the necked down style. But when I got a pair of rebuilt calipers they had the bushings for the first style. I didn't realize it till I was putting on the calipers and saw alot of daylight between that bolt and the bushing. I allowed me to rock the caliper by hand. I tried to get bushings for the necked down style and no one had them. Not even the dealer. So I figured I have to get the non-necked down bolt. New they were $25 a PIECE! Freakin' Pep Boys. Yeah not gonna drop $100 on bolts. Luckily I went to the junkyard and found out that the front slider bolts are the same and so I slapped them in there and all is hunky dory.
Oh on those clips I had a devil of a time finding two at the junkyard. Looked like most people has just put some anit squeak goo on the back and that was supposed to hold it I guess. Seemed too mickey mouse for me. I prefer clips.
