Anyone ever made a transmission crossmember for an adjustable torque arm?
I was thinking of making a new crossmember for my tranny because the Spohn one hangs down too low for long tube headers and a custom Y- pipe. The y-pipe I had made scrapes everything. There is only 2 inches clearance. Anyway, I'd still like to use my spohn ta if I could make another crossmember.
I'd like to see some dimensions or something. I don't think it would be that hard.

Update. I went to my parts car and got the crossmember off of it. It's in two pieces so I seperated them. I did away with the small part at the top. I only used the big part. I got some 1/4" steel plating from work and had it cut the size that I needed. I then made a bracket that gets welded onto the crossmember. For the part that I took off of the top I used a piece of 1/2" steel and drilled a hole through it so that the trans mount would fit it. Next I put the crossmember on the car and held the pieces in place and tack welded them. When I got everything in place I took it back off and put a good bead around the inside and out. Then I ground it smooth and painted it. It looks pretty good and works excellent.
