It would probably be cheaper to buy new factory orginal wheels off year one or something like that. I refinished the 16x8 turbo wheels on my TA last winter. I paid $15 each to have them sandblasted and then I spent about $60 in materials to powder coat them myselft. They came out great and people really notice them. At some point, I think I was give a quote of $85 each to have them sandblasted and powdercoated by a shop.

mine need more than that. ive got some curb rash i guess you could call it. i was quoted 115 for each wheel.

i thought that wasnt too bad considering what the repo iroc wheels go for. my other choice was black gta wheels, but im leary of buying wheels i can see and feel. plus i havnt seen them for good prices anywhere.

115 isnt a bad price at all. ive seen recons go for $300 or more a peice. and gm new wheels will run you something in the $400 range. some things to ask, is if the straighten the wheels, and use OEM colors. as for the repro IROC wheels (i own an 86 IROC and have looked into them), they come in some very nice chrome, and polished finishes, and are available in 16, 17, and 18....but they'll cost you...the 16 are around $400, and the 18s ive seen advertised at almost a grand. but i think they would look awesome.

yeah, i completely agree with you wanted your own wheels, so i would say just take em to a respectable recon shop, and tell them you want your wheels reconditioned.
