Does anyone use rod ends on suspension components on the street? What are the advantages and disadvantages and how long is the life expectancy?

I had rod ended suspension. Rod ends are great for auto crossing and drag. The bad part is the ride...you feel every bump on the road and the ride is harsh. The life expectancy is about 2 years I'd say, til they get very looooose. LoL...But after a couple months I ditched the rod ended components and went with poly which lasts longer (100,000k or more) and gives the vehicle a better ride. For the street poly is the way to go.

I'm running a combo suspension on my car and it hasn't been too bad. I have rod ends on the axle side of the LCA's and poly on the body side. I plan to switch my panhard bar to the combo set up as well.
The rod ends are definitely better for handling, but a full rod end suspension is way too harsh for a daily driven street car.
