Feels like i'm driving a boat.

I own a honda accord as the daily driver family mobile, and then on the weekends I have the 92 camaro. I don't know if it's just I'm so use to driving a front wheel drive car or the front end on my camaro is shot. My honda's steering is so stiff and responsive and then I jump in the ol'camaro and it's seems like I need a boating license. I want to know what I can do, to get rid of the "play" in the steering wheel. I have all the aftermarket suspension goodies on the car already, ( springs, swaybars, struts and shocks, sub frames, poly bushings, blah blah...) What else can I do to tighten the feel up?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Steering parts are absent from your list... rod ends, center link, idler arm. Adjust the steering gear. Check the rag joint where the column meets the steering gear. Alignment specs affect it greatly too: stock specs suck, make the car wander and have no real strong "centering" feel.

I have mine set at about -1°/-1.5° camber, +3/+3.5 caster, .01" toe in. But mine is at the correct ride height. Don't know how much difference changing that will make.

All the steering stuff is still factory original, I have it lowered
2 1/4" and I have about a -3 degree camber, don't remember the caster. I'll definitely look into upgrading the steering parts. Should I go GM or step up to somthing like Moog?

HAh...i remember when my car drove like a boat. It was actually comparable to my friends lincoln town car. The suspension was old and the ride was great. I didnt feel anything on the road. I miss those days.
