aftermarket brakes

ok, so my stock brakes suck!!! Could someone recommend me a nice brake package that isn't a huge chunk out of the wallet. the car will see a tiny bit of road racing and drag racing...mostly a street driver.

Best bet IMO,

contact AndyZ28 at www.thirdgensolutions.com

I just installed his 1LE rear disc brake conversion and it's awesome! I hope to get fronts upgraded too soon thru him.

I'd love to upgrade my brakes as well, so I'm book marking just about every site I find. Even though it may be a while yet before i get to the brakes.

Go with the 1LEs. Best price for the equivalent of a set of Baers or SSBC brakes. Spohn has the whole package for sale on his site. If you don't have the time to piece it together like I had to, this will be your best option.

Check out my rebuild page for the install, it's tucked in there with my suspension upgrade:

Fastest way to better brakes is to simply upgrade the pads. There are some awesome brake pads available that will make the car stop on a whole new level. I use a lot of Hawk pads 'round here. Sure, big brakes are nice, especially for a lot of hard track use, but on the street 10.5" brakes with good pads will outstop a car with "big" brakes and okay pads.
