parking brake cable?

okay guys i might be gettin a 9 bolt rear with disk brakes and the guy said i would need the parking brake cbale. i was woundering would i be able to get that from a local gm dealer or will i have to go out and find one? or is there any way i could use my parking brake from my drum rear 10bolt?

No, drum and disc e-brake cables are different. Just get the year of the 9 bolt and go to your local Chevy dealer and order 2..you need 2. They'll be about $25 each.

ok kool, i thought this was goin to be one of those things were u cant really get it from the dealer anymore. but i think the part number for the 87 TA parking brake cable is H2FH. i looked it up on gm parts direct and thats what it gave me
