I purchased a set of Bilsteins and noticed that they were shorter than stock.

they have 2 option in strut/shock kits.

HD, for stock height cars.
SP, for lowered cars.

i called bilstein , because the front strut # is the same for both kits, but the rear shock # is diffrent, the bilstein technicians told me the front STRUT is IDENTICAL for both kits, but the rear shocks are desgined diffrently for the lowered aplication vs the stock height aplication.

this would tell me that no matter which kit you got, the front struts should be "Close" to the stock length.

How much shorter are the bilsteins than stock? are we talking 1/32" or 2"?

if you have anymore questions bilsteins north american tech line is

They were about an 1" - 1 1/2" if I remember correctly. At time of installment I compared them to a pair of KYB's I origanally had installed.

IIRC, my Bilstein struts were about the same height as my KYB GR2s.
