air shocks
hey guys i am wondering if air shocks would mess up my hadling because i want me car to sit high in the back and have wide tires without spenfing alot of money and certainly not messing up the handling of the car.. help me out thanks

The upper shock mount is the body sheet metal. It breaks out on these cars just from the forces of absorbing shocks (damping the rear suspension's resonance, or tendency to bounce when it hits a bump). It will not support the weight of the car which is what air shocks force the shock mounts to do.
Use coil spring isolators.
Anything you do that raises the rear of the car like that will mess up the handling, besides making it look like it belongs a ******* high-school kid that doesn't know anything about cars. It's the sort of thing that those people do to their pickup trucks, along with the glass-pack mufflers and cheap wide tires with no traction. It gives the rest of us a bad image.

thanks. what are the widest tires you can put on an 84 and also do you know a website that sells tires cause if you go to goodyear or a tire website it doesn't allow you to order... which i think is pointless to have a website then
