appearance opinions please!!

i'm currently trying to decide what to do with my baer kit.

i'm torn between either a red powder coat or polished caliper?

i'm also torn between leaving the hat anodized or looks black as apposed to another color....maybe red??

i like red hats, red cals.

with pollished rims, and a red car, that would SO set things off.

I personally like the look of red calipers and I'll give you my reason.

When you see them on a C4 Porsche or a Z06 Vette it really stands out and screams preformance. Now my opinion is that if it doesn't cheapen a Vette or Porsche then it won't cheapen a Camaro- It suggests that the car has some positive modifications and its fun a hell to intimidate a guy that buys a $60,000 car and can't drive. He certainly doesn't wan't to be beat by a car 1/4 its price. Its not always beacause they don't want to waste their time, thats just a chicken excuse to a car that shows aggression in its looks We"re not Vettes but we are closer to them then we are to Ford Escorts.

powder coat them red can you imagine how much of a PITA it will be to keep polished calipers clean and shiny even on a car that is for show only it would be a nightmar just imagine what they would look like after driving for a couple of hours

I'd get them coated to match your car's paint. But coated or polished, they will still get dirty quickly by brake dust and be hard to clean. I would think there would be less upkeep with the coated ones.

Even though I said to do them up polished...Justin has brought up a very strong point. If polished you will have no choice but to remove the rims for cleaning time after time. The powdercoat on the other hand could be easily cleaned at a local carwash with some tire cleaner. Justin has waved my vote to powdercoat them now. But what if you powdercoat them silver???HMMM

Removing the wheels everytime to clean would really suck.

make that 2 for powdercoating Silver. I think either red or silver calipers will look good on your car. No matter what wheels you get.
