Spohn's Convertible Subframe Connectors...Completed!

Yes, the design is completed and they kick some serious ***. They were worth my year and a half of waiting patiently. The SFCs have fixed all the flex out of my car. The cowl still shutters a bit over 70mph, but it doesn't make the squeaking sounds it used to.

Steve and his dad are going to start taking orders as soon as the jig is squared away. The new SFCs install easier on the verts than on the coupe (According to the Spohns). He took pics of the completed install and he will put them up on his site soon.

Many thanks to Steve and his father for making this happen.

We'll put them up for orders in about two weeks. They will be Part #502 and pricing will be the same as the hardtop SFCs ($185.00 bare or $230.00 powder coated). Just have to finish up the jig now and get some built up and ready to go.

Here are the installed pictures from Phil's car:

Woohoo!! One question, though, how does the powdercoating hold up under all those welds??

It'll burn off just like all other paints, but you can easily touch up those areas with some paint after the welding.

They're the same as the std. ones as far as layout. The only difference is the overall width of the SFC bend, it has to be tighter to clear the convertible's factory reinforcement.

In other words the std SFCs will not fit a convertible.
