SFC's ROCK!!!!!!
I ordered a set of SFC's about two months ago for my convertible and they have been stashed in my closet because I have not had the time to think about it much lately. Got them welded on today for $40.
OMG! HUGE difference. Esp. on the vert.
Couple questions:: The don't sell 3-point SFC's for verts. I am thinking of just havign a bar welded in to connect the right and left SFC's. But, maybe its not as simple as it sounds. Is it?
Also, If you hade enough money to buy either an a) adj. pan hard rod, or b) a STB, which would you choose to get the most bang for your buck??
I love this board.

I would also suggest the Strut Tower bar. It will be a more noticable difference. As for hte panhard bar if you only do normal driving, drag racing, or just a little turn taking then you wont really notice it. BUT if you push your car super hard then you will feel a huge difference. I noticed a huge difference in my car after I put a adjustible panhard bar. Yet others say they felt nothing. Its all on how hard you drive your car.

What brand of SFC's did you buy for your 'vert? I believe only Alston and Spohn make SFC's that actually fit a 'vert with no modification. I had originally ordered the Kenny Brown SFC's for my car, but returned them when I discovered how much modification they would take to fit correctly. The Spohn pieces, by the way, are a 3-point setup. There was talk on another thread about using Spohn SFC's in conjunction with Alston SFC's (since the Alston's do not run along the frame rail and actually 'connect' the subframes by running closer to the center of the car). Sounds like an interesting setup- I would think that running both in conjunction would make one crazy stiff car! Kidney belts anyone?

The ones I got at restore classics actually does actually connect the subframes......the are about 1 foot away from the side rails toward the center. They work great and have no ground clearnace lost, except a small grind at high speed bumps.
They made a huge difference, but I can still feel some flex at the doors. I was thinking of have two small bars (per side) welded perpendicular to and between the factory subframe and the new SFC's. One at front and one at rear (each side).
Sounds confusing? I know but I think it would work.
