Front end question after accident with IROC...

Hit black ice and threw my car in the ditch the other day... Didnt do nothing to the body, less some paint chips and a small dent... Whut it did do is screw up my alignment... When my left tire is straight, my right tire is slanted to the right... But when I turn the steering wheel, they both turn... Could something just be bent, and if so, whut parts could be bent? Its up in the air right now, but I dont know whut to look for? Its an 85 IROC Z.. Thanks alot...

The first thing to check and probably the easiest, is that you didn't pull any of the tie rods out of the tie rod sleeves. If this happened, then you likely stripped the threads as well, and will have to get new tie rods and tie rod ends. I'd say this is the most likely culprit because it is the weakest link (and consequently, most likely to give way before anything else breaks) if the steering isn't binding up, or catching on anything when you turn the wheel full lock left and right (while on the ground, not jacked up), then it's likely a problem with the tie rods.
