Third gen manual steering

I am interested in installing a manual steering box in my 1987 base model Camaro. Has anyone done this, and if so, what vehicle did the box come from?

Axle/Gears: 3.23

i believe you can get the manual box from 4 cylinder S-10s, but they have trouble clearing the front sway bar bushing/bracket. If you install this box you might have to do some shaving.

Other than that, it's a direct swap.

if you're thinking about converting a daily driver, think twice. i drove a dinky 4 banger s10 with a manual box and it's not all that much fun, especially in a parking lot. at speed though it's no problem
