i got new tires on my car, i got a front end alignment, i got complete new braking system, and the mechanic said nothing was wrong with the ball joints or control arm, or any of the steering components..... so $700 later.... my car still pulls to the right....... so i'm running out of options that would cause my car to do this. My back tires are bald, but do back tires affect steering? also, i do not have posi-traction.... and the driver side tire is the one that supplies all the power, would this cause my car to pull? please, help me.... and i will do this to you --->:hail:

i know you said no matter what, but does it do it most when you apply the brakes?

what are was replaced in the braking system?

when i apply the brakes it doesn't jerk to the right (but, if it does, its not noticeable).... but i relaced EVERYTHING on the braking system.... so that's defintely not the problem

i'd like to see the results of the alignment. also it's a distinct possibility that the power steering pump could be suspect. very rare but possible.

do you think that any of my ideas could be reasons for the car pulling?

yes a rear tire can cause a pull or more of a drift type. can you get me the alignment readings?

Check out another post about pulls right on this board. Since it coincides with the new front tires, I'd try swapping LF & RF tires first. The rear end should have almost nothing to do with pull on the hiway. If it pulls under braking, that's a different problem. But if it only pulls at speed on the hiway, I'd try the tire swap, and if that doesn't work find an alignment shop that will put a biased alignment on your car to counteract the pull created by the front tires.

check front brKE LINES AND CALIPERS COULD BE SWELLES LINES OR A STICKING CALIPER

hm, mine pulls to the right also, and i replaced the control arms and everything, it doesnt jerk when i apply the brakes either.

kristopheer seems to have the same problem as me. its NOT the brakes, its nothing to do with the control arm or bearings.... not tires...... what could this be?!?!

Mine did this also, it always pulled one way, a little more when brakes were applied but not very noticable. I determined the culprit to be a collapsing brake line that connects to the caliper, everytime i would hit the brakes it would put pressure in the calipers but not let it back out causing my tire to sometimes lock up under hard braking and it wouldn't release, and when it did release it would still have a drag causing it to pull that way. check that out, the hoses are cheap and easy to install. Hope this helps.

thanks, but I told you... the lines, calipers, rotors, ALL BRAKING SYSTEM COMPONENTS were replaced. so, there is no way to blame the brakes.

My suburban used to pull to the right too. Took to a shop to have it aligned after I put new tires on it and they said the alignment and all the front end was fine.
Took it another shop and they said it was the steering box, but it might have been the pump I dont remember which( been a few years). Anyways they adjusted the alignment to compensate for the pull and its been like that for about 4 years without any more problems.
