2 piece front rotors

So who here has 2 piece rotors on there car. I just got the Baer Track kit with 13" rotors and when it comes time to replace the rotors I want to look into getting some 2 piece rotors to lighten up the rotating mass some. I didn't even see them listed on the Baer site but they must be available. Anybody have some info they could share, or real world experience with them. Also whats the cost of them

Thanks

twice the price and then some............no actually they aren't that bad. i believe it was around 250 more for the upgrade, maybe a little less.

pick mine up tomorrow. cross drilled/slotted/zincwashed and the 2 piece aluminum hat anodized black with a polished caliper.

shop i ordered it through called me today to let me know they were in. said every customer whos been in has dropped their jaw at how sweet they look had two people order kits based on how mine looked.

they do make a 2 piece eradispeed rotor for the rear but they haven't built a bracket to house it yet. unless you can find away to adapt the zr1 brake setup or make your own you'll have to wait til mid-season before the release the new version of the touring kit.

can't wait to pick them up and see them behind the new rims....you guys thought i was all for show before.

Did you have to ask them about the 2 piece rotor upgrade? I didn't see them listed on the site, and when you look up the Track kit the 2 piece rotor wasn't an option. I would love to see some pictures of what the 2 piece setup look like so when you get your set if you don't mind posting a picture that would be great.

Do you think you would notice a difference going to the 2 piece setup over the regular 1 piece design. I would imagine the 2 piece setup is significantly lighter. Also do they give you a choice as to what color you want the hat done in?

dave i had to ask about every single detail to make sure it was exactly how i wanted.

i have the kit here in front of me but you'll have to wait to see pictures until it's done. all i can say is that it won't disappoint and it was well worth it in every single way.

you will notice a huge difference in going with the 2 piece. i'll break it down a bit.

single piece 13" rotor isn't completely covered by the caliper. 2 piece is.

6lbs lighter....meaning you loose 12 lbs of rotational weight just in the front alone by going with the 2 piece....consider an aluminum driveshaft is only about 8.

yes you can have the hat done in just about any color you can imagine....however this is another option that costs money. roughly adds 200 onto the bill for the two rotors. with me i wanted red, however the anodizing after time will fade and turn to pink where as the common blue fades to clear. i went with black.

it wasn't cheap to go this route....however it was absolutely worth it in looks. i'll let you know in performance when i get to use it. i would highly recommend this setup to anyone over anything else out there for a "street" car.

if your drag racing i would go lighter obviously and if your autocrossing then step up to the larger number caliper.
