Need help with squeeking noise

I have a 92 RS 3.1 V6.. When i drive it, and i have someone in the back or if i hit bumps or something to that nature theres a squeeking noise coming from the drivers side rear well. I got out and pushed down on the trunk and it made the same squeek then a popping type noise. Any ideas as to what it is exactly making the noise and a cheap solution to fix it? I mean, if i spray WD40 on it would it help nething at all? lol Thanks guys

well in that corner, it could be the shock itself, rubber bushings from the lower control arm, etc.. did you jack the car up at all to take a look.

if you have polyurethane rear sway bar bushings without lube, that would squeak, also.

Havent jacked it up..its been too cold and i wouldnt know what to look for anyway. Suspension/brakes and all isnt exactly my thing. I do more cosmetic stuff really and replace things. lol oh one guy who put on my new tires said my control arm moves, and it shouldnt. Could this be the cause of it? I think he was just trying to BS me into paying more money tho..damn shops..

yea it most definately could be the problem. have someone else check it out. the bushings on the lca's may be very worn. this is not safe and it's also cheap to fix.
