Non-Thirdgen brake job problem. Really need help.
Ok I've got a major problem here.. My mom's 98 blazer.. She had been driving it since winter started with really really bad rear brakes. I replaced the front and rear pads and rotors. Then I had to go back and replace the e-brake shoes. The rear rotors are half rotors half drums, they've got the standard disc brake caliper and then a horseshoe shaped e-brake shoe inside the rotor. I replaced them and thought I was done, then I test drove it tonight and the driver's side rear is making a really bad squeaking noise.. When I turned around to come back it started to rattle BAD. Hard to describe the sound but if anyone has ever driven on a highway with the ridges on the shoulder (to keep sleepy truckers on the road) it sounds like I'm driving on one of those ridges.. I haven't taken it apart again (it's too late) but anyone know what I should do? I think the squeaking is coming from the rotor debris guards rubbing on the rotors but that rattling really disturbs me. Any clues? Hope someone can help. My parent's can't afford to take it to a shop that's why I'm doing the brakes.. I've done brakes on 3 other vehicles (my T/A, the Ford F-150 my dad gave me, and my friend's 84 Delta 88) and I've never had problems with them.. This is the first time I've had any problems after doing a brake job.. Need some advice.. Thanks

Ok, took it all apart again. There's nothing that's rubbing that has to do with the brakes.. I took off the rotors and everything, put it in drive, and it's still squeeking bad. So, it's coming from the axle. No big deal, still has 1 month left on the warranty, so the dealership said it's covered. Woo hoo, not my problem anymore Now the dealership can f*ck with it.
