Where can I get lug nuts?

I would like to get some regular lug nuts, nothing shiny or chrome, just dull OEM style lugs. I have stock 15" wheels on my 88' Camaro and would like to know if anyone knows where the best place online is to purchase them. These lugs that GM put on are pretty much a joke. The cover rips off them when you pull them off and well it goes on from there.

Autozone, or O'Reillys. They have the chrome ones out on display, but they also sell just plain lug nuts. I would reccomend just getting a whole set of chrome ones though, the kind that cover the stud. I got a whole set for my sisters 87 SC, and it came out to about $27 from O'Reillys, for 5 packs. (they come in packs of 4)

Size of lugnuts you need for standard 82-92 f-body wheelstuds are 12mm x 1.5.

I don't think I would like how chrome would look on wheels that are not shiny in themselves. I'll check into AutoZone and see if they have plain ones, thanks for the tip Ward.

Whatever you do, don't get actual stock ones, with the stupid sheet metal cover over a cheap nut.

I have some solid aftermarket ones that are finished in flat black somehow. One of my brothers got them from his work at the time, NTB. Check the tire stores, and places like Summit & Jeg's, and your local speed shop.

Here's the hot setup in lugnuts (disregard the Jap import site, but import sites are the only place you will find them) Kyokugen come out of Japan- their 12mm x 1.5 seven sided lugs will work ( I have them) and they are plenty strong. They are smaller/lighter but longer threads and are made from better metal alloy than the lugnuts that came on our cars originally. Pop the cap off of an after market closed end acorn-style lug from Autozone and youll see how small and crappy the threads inside actually are. I much perfer the Kyokugen lugs- they also wont rust and are theft proof to the avearge person without the special 7-sided deep socket that comes with the kit.

Doesn't chrome look retarded on wheels that are not shiny?

But they're so much fun when the cover slides halfway off and messes up the bolt! (Been there, done that..)

Don't buy "Rally" locking lugnuts from Pep Boys. I bought a chrome set.. looked alright for $20... one day I get a flat, and the damn key stripped out the lugnut. Wound up torquing the other 4 nuts on super-tight, and using a pair of pliers from my "emergency" kit to loosen the locking lugnut.

Guess how far I threw that lugnut into the woods?

I as looking at a company called McGard. They have black lugs with matching locking lugs. Now my question is are the lugs on a 15" wheel considered regular cone seat or bulge cone seat? Or does it even matter?
