shaking in steering wheel
when i brake i get this wicked shake in the steering wheel and practically the whole front end. I need new rotors right? its not when i drive so its not a bent rim. i think my rotors are warped.. any one think i'm right?

even at certain speeds, more than likely its the rotors. at the shop ill get some that only to it above 40 and some that only do it just before you come to a stop. machine or replace them and you should be all good.
I say rotors, definately. You should also check your steering linkage too. Not that its bad but sometimes a badly worn idler arm or centerlink can compound the problem or even be caused by the warped rotors.
I had a car in the past that kept warping rotors too, It turns out that the rear brakes were not working, which forced the fronts to do 100% of the braking which got then too hot and kept warping rotors. Once the rears were fixed the fronts didn't warp anymore and no more shaky brakes. So you may want to check to be sure the rears are working properly so it doesn't happen again.

thats really intresting about the rear wheels. How do i go about checking the rear breaks? I know my e- brake works well because i need it cuz my park doesnt work. My shifter cable is too long or the brackets suck cuz the cable wont put the trans into park.. anyway.. i guess i could take the rear tires off and the drum and check the shoes. thanx for the tips guys
Definately the rotors. When one of mine starts to shake, I just replace them. They're cheap. $20 a piece. You could save a little money and have them turned, but it won't be long before they're shaking again. Make sure you get some carb cleaner with your rotors. They come in plastic sacks and they have some sort of oil or something on them that prevents corrosion. Carb cleaner gets that stuff off really good. Replace the pads too. I also agree with the previous statement about the back wheels. You might want to go ahead and just bleed the brakes in the back and make sure they are flowing properly. Good way to get some new brake fluid in your system too. Most people don't know that brake fluid is clear. They're used to seeing the black sludge in their reservoir when and if they ever check it! Don't get brake fluid on your paint either. Bye bye nice paint job! Matt
