Put drum brakes on a disc equipped 9 bolt.

I know it's sacreligious to put drums on a disc rear put here's my situation. My 86 Z-28 has a 3.23 open drum brake 10 bolt. I just got an 88 9-bolt that's all rebuilt 3.70 posi but its missing some brake parts. I don't have a disc master, booster, combo valve yet for doing the complete swap. But I want the 3.70 gear now, and I want to know if the drum backing plates from my 10 bolt will bolt to the 9-bolts axle flange. That way I can drive the car while I get my disc parts together, preferably the new style.
