want boxed sfc's (summit stopped carrying)

was looking to get the south side machine (SSM) subframe connectors through summit, but they no longer carry them.
i would like boxed sfc's, more for jacking/lifting points.
i have BMR tubular ones but the fit isnt great and would need a lot of fabricating on the pass side. (these were his first set made for experimental purposes)

i did search after search, what other sfc's run along the pinch rail towards the outside of the car?

Competition engineering makes a set like that. I have them on my car, but they aren't really meant for street use because your exhaust will not clear the passenger side. we had to modify the connector to accomodate the exhaust (cut the hell out of it), but we then replaced the cut away pieces with smaller stuff. my roll bar ties to the front area of the SFC now so its all good.

they are a little pricey, too. but do wonders in the lifting area. plenty of area to jack.

The Jegster ones are excelent. check out the jegs catalogue, it is their brand they fit my 87 (single cat) with no modification they are boxed approx 3"X2" and made to bolt in , but I had them welded. Made a dramatic improvement you will love them, but they are a bit heavy. best of luck.

the jegsters run right along the "pinch rail" (inside the rocker panel?) front to back on the ds and ps , but curve up to make room for the cat on the ps. they provide a wide flat surface to jack against. either SIDE of the car can be raised by putting the jack in the center of the rail (under the door) keep in mind that mine were welded front and back as well as welded the lenght of the rocker panel. wish I still had that car!

Summit still carries the full SSM line, why do you say they are discontinued? Just because they aren't in the catalog doesn't mean they aren't carried anymore. There is simply too much stuff that they carry to fit it all into a single catalog, and they might not be considered a "hot" item, so the marketing people probably didn't have room for them. Just call them up..

Tubular SFC's are much safer when used as jack points. The support V's on jack stands are more designed for tubular type support such as axles- as not to slip of. I have witness three different times in my life a jack or jackstand that the "ears" or "tabs" have broken off from being flat supported under a car and the car has fallen. Tbular SFC's fit inside jacks and jackstands with better stability.

I have been callaing around to SSM dealers and all have told me that SSM went out of business. I had ordered a set of SFC's from summit last week. I check their site today and they said that they were on b/o til June 18th, so I just cancelled the order. I assume that they won't get them in anymore anyway.
