to tighten up the chassis i would get these things.

wonderbar, strut tower bar, and subframe conectors

you can run a search to find out more about them.

but basically the wonderbar goes under the front sway bar to add support, the strut tower bar goes in the engine bay and ties each strut tower together for added strength. and subframe connectors add support to the bottom of the chassis and adds support to the unibody.

subframe connecters

the strut bar and wonder bar are very straight forward but as far as unibody reinforcement im finding alot of differences i like the price of this kit and the description is exactly what i am looking for

Spohn has one but it is liek $100 more im wondering if it is really worth more than doubling the price for the larger spohn kit?

any suggestions on a strut tower brace or strut bar? Is the 3 point that much better i cant see where on the firewall would be rigid enough to make a real difference with the 3 point bars.

subframe connecters

Any advice on the differnt sub frame kits?? all the stb and the wb seem to be about the same minor changes the sfc all seem to be different and from 85 - like 500, is there a beam in the fire wall that the 3 point stb ties to??

no it connects to the cowl.

as for SFCs you can't really go wrong with any of them, do a search though, some work out better than others, some require more work to install, some have problems with exaust clearance.

but whatever you do just make sure you get weld ins, or if you go the bolt in route, get them welded on.

I've got the Edelbrock Strut Tower Brace in my car, I attached a pic. I've also got the Spohn SFCs, which I personally dont like, but I have the old style boxed ones, the newer ones are tubular. I have exhaust clearance issues all over the place.

generally its a better idea to go with tubular design SFC's vs square. Square can flex bend at all the right angles where the vectors meet. But tubular tend to distribute force better.

MAC style are great for around $150 + $30-40 installation.(although you may have to go a few mph slower over speedbumps d/t clearance). I have these on my ride.

Spohn makes some great desgin for $185 (+ $150 installation accding to their website) and they are tubular and have no clearance probs. I would have gone with them but they did not have any for convertibles at the time.

SFC's are the single best mod you can do for your suspension.
