All 82-92 brake boosters interchangeable?

All 82-92 brake boosters interchangeable?
I put a 92 Brake booster into my 83 Z28. I'm not sure if the 92 had rear disc or a drum setup. My 83 has a rear drum setup. Is there any difference in the booster???
