Stabilizer bar broken off, Questions about rewelding it.

My Stabilizer bar is broken away from the frame. I had been driving it for a while like that and didnt know. But the car is down right now due to tranny issues. As soon as I have the tranny rebuilt Im selling the car.
I have basic arc welding skills. I have access to a 100 amp arc welder and possibly could get my hands on my cousins 225 amp arc welder. I am looking for opinions about wether I should try and reweld this or just leave it since Im selling the car. If so would 100 amps be enough or would I need the 225. All opinions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

i don't have alot of experience welding with 100 amp welders, but the little bit i do have gave me the impression that they suck dick and get **** for penetration...that bracket is gonna have to be taken off unless your gonna buy new bushings (probally not a bad idea at anyway), i'd say get the 225amp and weld it on

i'd take it somewhere that had mig (gmaw) and have it welded, muffle or body shop comes to mind. by arc i assume you mean stick (smaw), actually mig and tig are also arc welding processes.

Muffler/exhaust shop...$10 fix.

Don't sell something you can get sued later for. A jackass will sue you over anything nowadays.
