93-02 rear end - brakes/handling

The next generation rear ends are about 2" wider on both sides. If i get wheels and tires with the correct offset will be put on so they don't stick out, will the rear end still help the car handle better because the center of gravity is spread out more? Can you notice a difference for anyone who's done this?
Also, I plan on getting 15x10 wheels - will those fit on the newer large disc brakes and calipers?
thanks

Hey there Pat.

If you buy wheels with the "correct" offset, which I assume means you want the wheels back where they originally are, there will be no difference in tire path and therefore no difference in center of gravity as you call it. I really don't think the 3-4" difference in width would do much, whereas LOWERING a car does in fact change the gravity effect since the whole car height is changed with reference to the center of the wheels.

I don't know if 15s will clear the large @ 12" brakes back there...I haven't tried to make one fit.
