Parking Break Broke

the parking break in my '89 RS doesn't work... where is the first place I should check... the lever works.. .but I haven't looked at anything else... I heard that there is some adjuster in the rear drum... is that true? will that do anything to fix it... I thought that the parking break worked on the front discs also... any advice would be GREAT ..
thanks

most cars now days dont have front parking brakes. Anyways for your car there should be an adjuster in your driveshaft well. Its above your driveshaft and your either gonn ahve to take out your DS. Or your gonna have to just use some stubby small wrenches.

As for the drum adjustment yes there is and adjuster int here..but its more for hte drums themselves and not really for hte parking break. Though you could adjust that also. Its a turn **** thing that pushes the shoes outwards toward the drum.
