What did you have to do to make that work?

I had to make a mounting bracket and attach it to the k-member, make a new steerng shaft, shorten the steering arm on the spindle. I found hoses that worked with the stock ps pump and the 4th gen rack. I drove the car once with the fourth gen rack and was not happy with my bracket so I was redesigning it. But after may car had been sitting for 6 months my wife reorganizeds my priorities and I desided to sell all of my parts. I kept the mounting bracket for liability reasons. Maybe Dwain will give us a update on his progress?

355SS - How did you shorten the steering arm on the spindle? - I'm gettin ready to switch to a fourth gen rack and was thinking of shortening the steering arm to get quicker steering and change the Ackerman angle - but looking at the thickness of that arm it seemed like cutting a section out and re-welding it wouldn''t be strong enough

Nice Brakes BTW

I made a temporary bracket that bolted to the stock arm and moved the tierod bolt point closer to the centerline of the spindle. I was going to change it so my other two options were cut and weld or make a new bracket that bolts to the back of the spindle.

I haven't installed it yet since I'm waiting on steve spohn to release his street version of a tubular crossmember which will have provisions for the 4th gen rack as an option.

maybe you could drill a hole farther down the arm rather then cutting it?

Try the powerdyne impala kit, theres also an ati kit floating around for them, and also the possibility of going to vette accessories and the vette vortech bracket.
