suspension not what it should be?
i have a 1989 gta with kyb gr2 struts and kyb shocks my car just doeans handle as good as it should i had a 1988 formula that was a awsome handler much better then this one i mean it handles good but it seems the *** swings to much and is a little unstable the only things i have done is put new front sway bar bushings in because one broke it doesnt have the right tires on the front i bought and someone put 235/55/16s i bought new nitto 245/50/16s for the back i havent had the money for the front yet maybe thats one problem dont know? what else can i do i checked all the front end and its tight except for maybe the wheel bearings could use changing anyone have any idea what to do to get it to handle like my old formula?

i agree i should change that stuff but wonder why the formula i had handled better than this car? i want to change all the bushings front and back i should probably do that first?

that is likely the problem
it does no good to spend cash on aftermarket parts if you have problems, i would try to fix them, when you say it doesnt' handle as well, what do you mean. is there exesive body roll, does it have extremely bad oversteer or understeer. do you have traction loss (how are your tires? tires make a HUGE diffrence in how a car handles)
a good place to start, since you already replaced shocks/struts is to look at the bushings, and the condition of them.

i would say excessive body roll towards the back the tires are brand new nitto extreme on the back the front one are in good shape but like i said they are the wrong size 235/55/16 i need to get rid of those.

if you are having exesiver roll, i would check out the swaybar endlinks, and swaybar bushings.
not as likely (in my mind anyway) but worth checking is the panhard bars condition, along with its bushings.
chances are that your 15year old rubber bushings are worn out

well the formula was a WS6 and so is the GTA but you may be right maybe it did come with softer springs for ride quality i will have to ask around i know it had special disc shocks.
