bad noise.....
bad noise.....
recently my car has developed a loud, low pitched grinding and squealing noise either right when the car comes to a stop or right when my foot comes off the pedal... if that makes any sense. it usually only happens for a few minutes when the car is first started, and doesnt occur while braking at any speed while driving. it's not the rear brakes, i just redid them and the noise is coming from the front anyway. yesterday I took off the front wheels, and everything looks great; nothing is worn, so i don't THINK it's them either. the thing that gets me is that this only happens sometimes. any ideas?

Try turning the front rotors. Cold rotors will sometimes grind when coming to a stop if they need to be turned, but the noise may go away as they heat up.
