Traction control...

Just bought a 99 z28 rear with cross drilled rotors and 3.73 gearing for real cheap. (telephone pole jumped out in the street...ouch..) Anyway this has traction control on it. My car is an 86 roc with factory disc and i'm going to switch but the brake lines seem a little different....Is there a post i can reference about the traction control rear install or am i just going to have to change the brake lines to use this rear end..? Thanx in advance for any help or laughter

The traction control is controled by the computer, so that won't work.

so does that mean that i can just take the wires off and still use it? I didn't think 3rd gen had traction control. I guess i just have to change the brake lines with a rear w/o traction control....?

The traction control on the 4th gen limits the rpms when it senses wheelspin.

If you are racing anywhere, you would want to have the tc off anyway. It is better to have wheelspin then limit the hp.

No 3rd gen had traction control.
