Removing coil spring isolators - what is the consensus?
I'm thinking about removing my coil spring isolators, depending on what my car looks like with my new wheels... I figure on the front there won't be any difference at all, but on the back there might be a noticeable difference.....
So is it a bad idea/thing to do, or it doesn't matter? If I do, I'll probably slip garden hose or cut up a bicylce tire tube up and slip that around it....
What do you guys think?

Are you talking about the stock isolators? If so, you only got them up front and taking them off would not be a good Idea. Have you seen how thin these thing are ? I know for a fact my car does not have any in the rear. But if you do it would not make much of a difference.. I do know of after maket spring isolators that are about 2 inches thick,, maybe you have these on... ????????????????/
yeah when i changed springs, the front isolators were thin but seemed to have plenty of life still left, the rear ones seem bigger and more beefier for some reason and are still the stock ones.
4th gen guys take them out all the time (rear) for lowering purposes. Especially those who run 9" rears cuz it raises the car up some. Just take them out and use some 5/8" heater hose around the top coil and put the springs back
