Spohn SFCs installed (Pics coming!)
Spohn SFCs installed (Pics coming!)
Well, today was the day. I got my Spohn SFCs installed - finally.
My opinion? They are nice - but they were NOT my car's cureall for all the squeaks and rattles. I guess they just can't live up to all the hype around here.
The welder knew his stuff very well - I was very impressed with his work. Nice, clean welds. Was it worth the $320 for labor and $230 for parts? Hmm, I don't know.
The chassis still groans when going up my driveway, but I do feel a significant increase in overall rigidity - especially when going over speedbumps. I like them, but I am a little disappointed. (No offense Steve - they're good pieces of work!)
I'll have the pics up later tonight. Oh, what kind of paint should I use to touch up the parts that needed to be sanded down?

UPDATE:
I took the car for a test drive tonight. I mean, I _really_ put the old IROC through her paces - WHAT A DIFFERENCE.
:hail: The handling and overall tightness of the car increased DRAMATICALLY - especially at high speeds!
I have seen the light of SFCs, and it is good. Spohn SFCs get no less than 5 out of 5 hails from me!

(Forgive the weirdness of the message - I'm still a bit amped from my drive.)

Glad you like them,
this is why we say that SFC's should be the first mod everyone does.

I'm finally getting my Spohn sfc installed tomorrow.
I've had mine sitting in the original box for close to two years. These are square so they're the old style Spohns.
In my defense though the car has not even been driven 400miles since I bought it two years ago.
I'll post the results/opinion tomorrow.
