Anyone have a suggestion on which pads to get. Mine are getting weak and I want to change front and rear at the same time. Does anyone make a kit or something???

Performance Friction Z-rated Pads. Good stopping power and very little brake dust.

I'll second the recommendation for PF carbon metallics. If you have Autozone auto parts stores in your area, they offer a lifetime guarantee. When they wear out, take them back and walk out with a new set of pads for free. Not bad considering they only cost around $40 for a set.

i recently replaced mine with the ceramic ones from raybestos. haven't tried PF so i can't compare. however the ceramic ones leave very little dust. no need for brake dust shields anymore.
Does the PF brand come in a set for front disc and rear drum??? or would I have to get something different for my rear drums.

I had the non Z rated Performance Friction pads and they wouldn't stop when cold. I now have Hawk HPS pads and they are much better and seem to dust less.

I have tried them all at one point or another, on one car or another. The BEST brake pads for the street are Stillen pads- hands down.

You must be hard on brake pads to have tried them all. Even if you drive more then one car. .Originally posted by AGood2.8

I have a built '89 chev truck (4-wheel disc) that I have owned for over 14 years( My work truck) I replace the brakes on it every 8-12 months because of the weight I carry in it often. I also own 3 other vehicles- and have driven mine and numerous other peoples race vehicles on road tracks- I have used just about every race pad out there as well- so grow up kid, learn not to talk trash to those with experience and giving helpful advice.Originally posted by DJP87Z28

on being a brake pad EXPERT. I myself never repaced that many pads or shoes on all the cars I have owned in over Thirty years. So to your TRASH TALK EXPERTISE AGAIN.:hail:
:hail:For a readily available parts store pad, i love my raybestos Brute stops. Pepboys will give you a lifetime replacement warantee. I was using VGX pads from summit and i was thinking how badly i needed to do a baer or ls1 conversion, then i got the brute stops and they are great, hot or cold. There may be other great pads available but you can get the raybestos at any decent parts store for a resonable price.
