did a search, changing rear PBR brake pads?

did a search, changing rear PBR brake pads?

well it seems simple enough but i know im missing SOMETHING. I cant quite make out what chilton's wants me to do and i would like to make sure my brakes works correctly

anyone have an answer, step by step, kinda thing?

so far i unbolted the caliper from the bracket and took the pads out. Thats it

u just need to press the piston back into the caliper to make enough room for the new pads to fit over the rotor. thats all i would do then bolt everything back up, thats at least the way i did it for the fronts.

the rear is different due to the emergency brake

So have you actually changed rear PBR brake pads, yes/no?

Not to be a dick but if you haven't i need to know that because this has to be done right and the rears are different from the front.

If you haven't, thats cool i do appreciate the help. Hopefully someone can post here that has and we'll both learn

What he said was right, just use a C clamp and press the piston back in there.

Right, the PBR rears are almost exactly like fronts, as far as changing the pads. Not at all like the cast-iron Saginaw calipers where you have to monkey with the parking brake to screw the piston back together.

Make sure the caliper carrier slides freely on its pins.
