get ride of power breaks ??

i work on winston cup cars all day long and keep seeing that they have the dual master cylinder setup. they use the willwood ones one for fron and another for rear with a proportioning valve atached. My question is , would it be possible for me to remove my bower booster slap two of these babies on and never worrie about vac breaks agian.

Yes..its possible...Actually someone makes a kit to convert to manual brakes...Its more of a stock style setup...It would not be a powerfull as a dual wilwood setup but its a much easier install...

Ill look for the site and if I find it ill post it.

ehh, you can always run a electric vac pump and keep your vac brakes AND ACCESSORIES LIKE YOUR AIR DOORS...

plus its cheaper and easier..

I have a manual brake system on my drag car that works quite well. The key to making it work effectively is to increase the leverage ratio (cylinder bore diameter is the other consideration). This is done by welding a new pivot point higher on the brake pedal "lever". The master cylinder will need to be raised about the same amount so the actuating rod (between master cylinder and brake lever) will remain relatively straight, in relation to the MC, throughout it's range of travel. I made a master cylinder to firewall adapter mount out of 3/4" thick 6061-T6 aluminum and used an aluminum Mopar style tandem master cylinder (I don't recommend using the dual balance bar MC's). This set-up really cleans up the underhood area, and it also makes it much easier to work on the engine (the hydraulic lines are on the left, or fender side of the MC).
