Which combo valve to use
I'm putting the final touches on a 9 bolt rear with PBR brakes for my 90 Formula and have a question. Which combination valve do I need to use? I was planning on using the 1LE valve (btw anyone got the part #?) but I recently read a post about using the regular disc/disc valve if you don't have the 1LE brakes up front. I won't have the front brakes for some time and I may decide on another option for the front between now and then as well, but I need the right valve for what I will have after this swap. I'll have the regular disc brakes up front and the PBRs with 12" rotors out back. Which valve will do the best job?

Just get a valve for a 4-wheel-disc non-1LE '90 TA. The 12" PBR rears and single-piston fronts is what they came with anyway.
That or gut your stock valve and add an adjustable one. That way you can just re-adjust it when you upgrade the fronts.

I would recommend you gut the stock valve and add an adjustable one. I did this a few years ago on my car and wow what a difference. I think for the first time ever, I actually had rear brakes.
Additionally, with the non stock setup and your plans to change the front brakes, the ability to adjust the rear brake bias will sure be nice.

I think I'd rather take the easy way on this one and just get a disc/disc valve. I went through enough trial and error setting up my suspension that I'm a little burned out right now. Got the part number for that valve?

I can certainly relate to being burned out from working on the car too much. The nice thing here is that the stock proportioning valve and adjustable ones are not that expensive. You can switch to the adjustable one any time.
I can't help you with the part numbers.

This number may have ben superceded by an updated part number, but a dealer should be able to confirm this for you.
