Sub-frame connectors for convertible?

I have looked all over for Sub frame connectors for my 91 Firebird Convertible. I cant find any, they all say for hardtop/t-top. I got to thinking that maybe the convertibles might already have these stock since the roof isnt there to hold things together. Is this true?

The Alston SFC's I sell through my web site will fit the convertibles. Yes there is a formed sheet metal reinforcing piece (along with several other reinforcements unique to the 'verts) that runs along the under side of the car just behind the gfx. This piece is was riveted in place by ASC, but it is not even close to the strength of the aftermarket SFC's available for the 'verts. The majority of the SFC's on the market for thirdgen F-bodies are designed to run along the outer pinch rail. On convertibles this area is taken up by that formed piece ASC installed. Removing that piece to install a SFC isn't a good option. You are better off buying one specifically deisgned for the 'verts. Alston, Kenny Brown and Spohn all make a version for the 'verts. There are a few advantages to the Alston's. They come with bolts and locknuts which allows you the option of bolting them in place or welding them (or both). Also if you REALLY wanted to reinforce the chassis you can still install either the KB or Spohn version in addition to the Alstons. Both KB & Spohn's versions tuck in behind that sheet metal reinforcement. Alston SFC's connect to the front subframe near the tranny support and to the rear sub frame near the LCA mount location.

PS: I currently have the Alston SFC's on sale.

Good luck,

Lonsal....

I have the alston (or somethign similar) and am pleased with them. But I am wanting more reinforcement d/t that nasty door creak and window rubbing when I hit uneven surfaces.

What do you think about welding shortbars between the Alston SFC's and the ASC SFC's? Here is a pic of what I mean:
