Anyone running manual brakes?

I'm familiar with the Wilwood/Mopar style master cylinders used by most drag racers, but wondered if anyone here was running one on a third gen? I'm considering losing the power brakes on my 87 for weight savings, and to clean up the firewall a bit. Anyone know if theres an adapter needed for the MC, and whats involved in the swap? Also, any feedback on braking power would be appreciated. I'm going to be using Aerospace discs front and rear. Thanks!

Stephen 87 IROC on the drag racing board has a manual brake setup and some pictures on his site. http://www.hardtail.com I don't remember the details of what he used.

The hardtail site has the pic's. I just completed mine yesterday. I used a mid 80's S-10 master cylinder. They are the same for power or manual brake. You have to move the rod closer to the pivot. Hardtail did 1" closer and I did 1.25" closer. I used the stock combi valve. Depending on the car you will need to make a custom line from the combi to the master. Bubble flare on one end and double flare on the other. The bracket has to be redrilled and I added and stiffiner to it. I used the rod from the original power system and just turned it to length. I don't have plates on the car yet but a little drive down the back road and they seem to work as well as the power with a little added foot pressure.
