? about ws6 brakes

I have an 87 firebird with the ws6 suspension package and the 9-bolt BW rear end. When I had my wheels off today, I noticed that the brakes on the rear are vented, and look rather large. When I looked closer I noticed that the disk was also seperate from the wheel hub, unlike the front ones where the hub is built into the disk... is this because of the BW rear end, or could I possibly have the more desirable PBR brakes in the rear like the LT1s and late third gen ws6 cars?? I thought that I was reading once that the rear brakes on the first few years of the ws6 cars had a really ****ty, solid, un-vented rotor, this one is vented.

There are no rear "WS6 brakes", just like there are no "rear 1LE brakes". All 82-88 cars had the cast iron Delco-Moraine calipers in the rear, and all 89-92 cars had the aluminum PBR calipers. There were no rear disc brake upgrades.
